Upload Images Directly from a URL

You can now add images to your Media Storage using a public image URL—no need to download files to your device before uploading.

What's New

Upload from URL – Import images directly from any publicly accessible image link.

Image Preview Before Import – Verify the image with a thumbnail preview before adding it to your library.

Auto-Detected File Details – File name and image dimensions are automatically retrieved from the source URL.

Built-In Validation – Get immediate feedback for invalid links, unsupported file formats, or oversized images.

Copyright Confirmation – Confirm you have permission to use the image before importing it.

Seamless Library Management – Imported images are saved to your current Media Storage folder and work just like standard uploads.

How It Works

  1. Open Media Storage.

  2. Click Upload and select Upload from URL.

  3. Paste a public image URL and click the → button.

  4. Review the image preview and details.

  5. Click Import.

  6. Confirm copyright ownership or usage rights when prompted.

  7. The image will be added to your current Media Storage folder.

This makes it faster to bring in assets from CDNs, shared image links, stock photo libraries, and other public sources without the extra download-and-upload steps.

Media Library: Expanded File Preview Support

We're making it easier to inspect files without leaving the Media Library. You can now preview many more file types directly in the existing preview modal—no download required.

What's New

The Media Library now supports in-browser previews for:

PDF files – Browse pages, zoom in and out, jump to specific pages, and select text.

Word documents (.docx) – View full document formatting, including pagination, headers, and footers.

Excel and CSV files – Open spreadsheets with worksheet tabs and familiar column headers.

Audio files – Play supported audio formats directly in the browser, including MP3, WAV, OGG, and M4A.

3D models – Interactively view supported 3D files, with controls for rotation, wireframe mode, and camera reset.

Text and code files – Preview JSON, CSS, plain text, and other supported text-based files with syntax highlighting.

How It Works

  1. Select any file in the Media Library, or choose Preview from the right-click menu.

  2. The correct viewer will open automatically based on the file type.

Additional Notes

Preview size limits apply:

* PDF: up to 50 MB

* Word: up to 15 MB

* Excel/CSV: up to 15 MB

* 3D models: up to 50 MB

* Text files: up to 5 MB

* Audio files: up to 100 MB

Files that exceed these limits will display a

Too Large to Preview

message with an option to download the file instead.

* Spreadsheet previews are limited to

1,000 rows × 100 columns per worksheet

to maintain performance. If a file exceeds these limits, a notice will appear and the full file can still be downloaded.

* Unsupported file types (such as PowerPoint files, ZIP archives, font files, and legacy Word documents) will display an improved

Preview Not Available

message when browser preview is not supported.

Media Center Folder Upload & Download

📝 Overview

Improved the Media Center with new folder upload and download support, along with several performance and usability improvements.

This update makes it easier to manage large groups of files by letting you upload full folders, download folders as a zip, and track progress more clearly while keeping the folder structure intact.

🆕 What’s improved

  • Added a new Upload Folder option in the Media Center

  • You can now upload entire folders, including subfolders and files, in one go

  • Drag and drop now supports folders, multiple folders, and mixed uploads with both folders and individual files

  • Added support for downloading folders as a single zip file

  • Upload progress now shows a clearer folder-based view, including nested files and subfolders

  • Folder uploads and downloads now preserve the original folder structure

  • Improved sorting so the order you choose in the main grid is also reflected in the Move to Folder modal

  • Improved upload and download performance for larger file batches

  • Added clearer handling for upload limits, skipped files, and partial completion states

🔍 How to access

  1. Open the Media Center.

  2. From the header, you’ll now see Upload Folder next to Upload File. You can also drag and drop folders directly into the Media Center.

  3. To download a folder, use the Download option on a folder to save it as a zip file.

🎯 Why it matters

  • Makes it much faster to upload and organize large batches of media

  • Helps preserve folder structure instead of requiring manual reorganization

  • Improves visibility into upload and download progress

  • Reduces friction when moving media in and out of the Media Center
