Multiple ad sets & ads for Meta ad campaigns

👀 What’s New?

  1. You can now create up to 10 ad sets within a single Meta Ads campaign, expanding your ability to test different audiences, placements and strategies.

  2. Each ad set supports up to 10 ads, enabling multi-ad experimentation within a defined target group.

  3. The campaign flow now follows a structured hierarchy: Campaign > Ad Set > Ad

  4. When you create a campaign, 1 ad set and 1 ad are automatically generated to get you started faster.

  5. Add new ad sets anytime using the “Create Ad Set” option in the campaign ellipsis menu.

  6. Use the ellipsis (⋮) menus at both ad set and ad levels to:

  • Add, Duplicate or Delete items with ease.

  1. A redesigned Review screen allows you to inspect and toggle through ad sets and their ads before publishing, improving confidence and transparency in your setup.

  2. The Statistics tab now enables performance tracking not just at the campaign level, but also by ad set and ad level supporting deep insights and optimization.

👷 How It Works:

  1. Create a Campaign (e.g. Lead Generation, Website Traffic, etc.)

  2. The system auto-generates the structure of 1 ad set and 1 ad by default

  3. To add more:

  • Click the campaign ellipsis (⋮) to Create Ad Set (max 10 ad sets)

  • Within each ad set, click the ellipsis to Create Ad (max 10 ads per set)

  1. Use ellipsis menus to duplicate or delete ad sets or ads

  2. Configure:

  • Campaign-level settings (objective, special ad category)

  • Ad set-level controls (budget, placements, geographic/audience targeting)

  • Ad-level creatives (lead form, media, text, CTA button, etc.)

  1. Navigate to Review and select any ad set/ad from the left panel to inspect details.

  1. Publish and monitor via the Ad Manager > Statistics screen:

  • View metrics like impressions, clicks, CPC, conversions and spend amongst others

  • Drill down from campaign > ad set > individual ad

🌟 Why It Matters:

  1. Powerful testing: Run multiple audience hypotheses or creative variations within the same campaign.

  2. Scalable strategy: Ideal for agencies and advanced advertisers managing segmented targeting.

  3. Enhanced usability: Intuitive creation and editing flows reduce friction in building complex campaigns.

  4. Performance control: Granular reporting makes it easier to spot what’s working (and what’s not) at every layer.

📝 Notes:

  • Campaigns must contain at least one ad set and one ad to be valid.

  • All existing features such as duplicate/delete a campaign remain available from the Ad Manager Home view.
